ABSTRACT
In this chapter, we discuss Islamic venture capital financing, an emerging concept in Islamic finance. We start with a brief description of various sources for start-up financing, define some key terms, and talk about the conventional venture capital life cycle. We then discuss the theory and practice of Islamic venture capital financing, and present a real-life case study on an Islamic venture capital fund.
