ABSTRACT
In Chapter 5, Huw Williams critically engages with The Law of Peoples by John Rawls. Huw Williams builds the argument that Rawls’ approach to non-ideal theory, in particular his views on development, raises significant ongoing questions about the relationship between the global north and south. Further, he identifies and argues that there are blind spots in Rawls’ work which are ripe to be discussed, and he suggests that these illuminate the advances in the debate around social justice on a global plane.
