ABSTRACT

It is interesting to realize that relationships have more power and passion than moral purpose. The goal, of course, is to get them to team up because we have a very long way to go in educational reform. A superficial application of complexity theory will not do the job. The principles of this theory have very deep meaning. As Marion (1999:212) says about the butterfly effect (small happenings can generate large consequences):

It is not any old butterfly’s action that counts but particular ones, and they have to occur in interaction with certain factors and conditions.
