ABSTRACT
This chapter will summarize main ideas on teacher education and play pedagogy. Several themes from the chapters in this book that connect these ideas are identified and discussed. Key perspectives on the knowledge, dispositions, and skills required to effectively facilitate children’s play will be examined. Ways that teacher education can guide teachers in acquiring these competencies will be described.
