In a hospital, the used medical materials must be requested surely. However, the confirmation of medical materials takes a lot of time very much, and it is very tough task for medical staff. The Injection Container Automatic Reading System is developed for reduce the workload of operating room staffs. This system automatically picks up used drug ampoules and vials by camera, and saves the drug information and the shapes of ampoules/vials. Therefore, the checked time of the used medical materials by operating room staff is shortened, and the cost is automatically calculated by using this system. Also it can prevent human error such as recording mistakes. In this paper, the Injection Container Automatic Reading System is utilized to provide a learning material for effectively giving engineering education by social implementation.
