Abstract
Typically 4 to 6 months is required for automotive system full-scale multiphysic modelling and analysis. On the other hand analysing must be worked on the supercomputer because of too many decrease of freedom. To degrees the model size and shorten the analysing time catalyst full-scale model has to replace to the representative solid honeycomb. This homogenisation is a process where original honeycomb stiffness is translated to representative solid material properties. This means that the original and the representative honeycomb stiffness in all directions is equivalent. Homogenisation generates one difficulty on the representative honeycomb. Representative stress information is different than of real honeycomb. A representative solid honeycomb own static Von Mises failure limit must be generated. If this failure limit is not represented on the representative honeycomb, stress results from analysis are not correct. In this report homogenisation process by unit force method and static Von Mises failure limit calculations is presented.
