Teaching Interpersonal Skills in International Design-Build Course

This paper is based on our experiences and benefits from the international CDIO Co-operation between Denmark and Finland. Much work has been put into techniques to support group dynamics in an international environment and evaluation. Teaching methods for learning interpersonal skills have been developed in an interactive environment, where the students make their own experiences through active involvement in exercises in groups of two to four persons. The developed principles will be used in a CDIO International Design-Build Course with the title "Developing Open Source System Expertise in Europe", where 7 European universities will participate.
