Abstract
The method of Partial Extraction of Metals (PEM) was invented in late 1960's (Sokolova, 1967). It combines geophysical and geochemical methods in the exploration for minerals. Ryss (1973) described the theoretical principles and the application of the method. Since 1980's experiments have been carried out to investigate the merits as well as the deficiencies of this method.
