Abstract

Element distribution in barley leaf were measured through the developmental stage of barley. In all the developmental stage, in a leaf, Mn, P, Mg and Ca were accumulated in high amount at the top of the leaf, which tendencies were reverse in the case of Cl and K. Na concentration was uniform within a leaf. At any stage, in generally, when the leaf gets senescent, the concentration of the elements became higher. However in the case of K, Mg, Mn and P, there was the maximum concentration at the elder leaf and in the eldest leaf the content became lower. The element profile of all the elements investigated did not change till 46 day of the growth stage.
