The purpose of this study was to examine individual, family and school variables in order to determine the specialized vocational high school (SVHS) students’ career choice and predict the influence of each determinant variable. To this end, the 4th year’s data of the KEEP were used and the variables were analyzed being separated into student and school level using HGLM. According to the analysis, career choice of the SVHS students is significantly influenced by, personal and family factors as well as school factors such as career guidance, a school’s SES and location. The more active a school’s career guidance is, the higher the probability of choosing career path. The students who decided to enter SVEH voluntarily according to personal opinion are more likely to choose career path. It was concluded that a school’s career guidance is required to be strengthened in order to raise the employment rate of SVHS students.
