The article considers the experience of combating drug addiction in the late 90-s — early 2000-s by the example of the city district of Bor. The uniqueness of this experience is that the city for a short time has become the regional center for the sale of drugs, so the correction of the situation required not only substantial financial investments, the use of innovative approaches, but also collective efforts of all interested parties
