Non-Surgical Orthodontic Treatment with Oral Myofunctional Therapy of Skeletal Class III Malocclusion

The teeth are surrounded by the tongue inside and cheek and lips outside which exert strain on the teeth. The teeth are positioned where the force of these soft tissues is neutral. Although orthodontic treatments and orthognathic surgery controlling the position of teeth and jaws are familiar, methods of controlling soft tissues such as lips, tongue, and cheeks are not well known. This is a skeletal Class III malocclusion case that was treated only with orthodontic treatment using myofunctional therapy without screws or surgery.
