본 연구는 장애학생을 대상으로 한 동물매개활동 및 치료 연구동향을 파악하기 위해 2010년부터 2020년까지 국내 발표된 학술지 논문 29편을 분석하여, 향후 방향성을 제시하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 발표연도, 연구대상, 연구방법, 동물매개활동 및 치료 프로그램에 따라 분석하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 동물매개활동 및 치료 연구는 2010년부터 꾸준히 연구가 활발히 이루어지다가 2018년도부터 연구가 상대적으로 감소추세를 보였다. 연구대상은 초등학생을 대상으로 한 연구가 가장 많았으며, 연구대상 장애유형으로는 뇌성마비장애가 가장 많았다. 둘째, 연구설계는 단일집단 사전사후검사 설계, 종속변인은 운동능력이 가장 많았으며, 결과분석 방법은 양적분석이 가장 많았다. 셋째, 매개동물의 종류는 말, 동물매개활동 및 치료 프로그램 유형은 동물매개치료(AAT)가 가장 많았으며, 동물매개활동 및 치료 프로그램의 총 회기 수는 11회기~20회기, 주당회기는 주 2회, 회기 시간은 40분~60분 이하가 가장 많았다. 연구결과에 따라 장애학생을 대상으로 한 동물매개활동 및 치료가 주는 시사점과 연구의 방향을 논의하였다.

This study analyzed 29 theses published in Korean academic journals from 2010 to 2020 to look into research trends on animal assisted activities and therapy for disabled students and to present future direction. For this, it conducted analysis according to year of publication, research subject, research method, and animal assisted activities and therapy program. The results are as follows: First, research on animal assisted activities and therapy was conducted continuously and actively from the year 2010 but relatively decreasing trends were shown from the year 2018. Research was conducted most on elementary students and with disability types of the research subjects, cerebral palsy disabilities appeared the most. Second, most research designs were single group pretest-posttest designs, the dependent variable that appeared most was motor abilities, and the most used result analysis method was quantitative analysis. Third, the horse appeared most as the assisting animal, the most often used animal assisted activities and therapy program type was animal assisted therapy, most animal assisted activities and therapy programs had a total session number of 11 to 20, most of the programs had two sessions a week, and most sessions lasted from 40 minutes to 60 minutes. According to the research results., discussions were made on the implications and research directions given by animal assisted activities and therapy for disabled students.
