Abstract

The delphacid genus Nilaparvata, previously recorded in the New World only from Puerto Rico and Nicaragua, is here reported from a variety of localities from Wisconsin and New Hampshire in the United States, south to Bolivia and Paraguay. Euides gerhardi is here transferred to Nilaparvata, and a revised key and diagnoses for the four New World species are provided.
