Point Agglomeration of Nickel and Iron Nanowires Synthesized in the Pores of Track Membranes

  • Published:
Bulletin of the Russian Academy of Sciences: Physics Aims and scope

Abstract

Ni and Fe metal nanowires of different lengths are synthesized in nanoporous matrices of polyethylene terephthalate track membranes. As samples dry, point agglomeration of the ends of the nanowires is observed at lengths corresponding to theoretical estimates. Point contact of nanowires can be used in surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS).
