Structural fragmentation in TiNi(Fe, Mo) single crystals during intense plastic deformation

Abstract

The structural transformations in TiNi(Fe, Mn) alloy single crystals during intense plastic deformation (cold rolling and omnidirectional pressing) are studied by electron microscopy as a function of the strain. The micromechanisms of plastic deformation and fragmentation are analyzed in the formation of nanocrystalline and quasi-amorphous states.
