Abstract

The article has determined the composition and concentrations of trace elements in aqueous extracts of flints of Kamenets-Podol’sky (black flint) and Dnieper-Donetsk deposits (gray flint) and has investigated the phase composition of minerals by means of the X-ray-phase method. It has been found that the flints in question belong to a quartz-chalcedony or quartz type, have a close phase composition and slightly differ by the quantitative content of the crystalline and amorphous phases.
