The comprehensive planning of leisure farm not only include the natural and scenic environment of the farm. It also reflects the cognition of the farming business owner on the internal and external environment, the business concept and strategy, and finally affects the business performance of the enterprise. The paper studied the effect of key factors of management of the business performance. Specifically, the effect of the business concept, the internal and external environment, and the business strategy taken were investigated. A census survey was conducted on the 26 legally operating leisure farms that had been under the supervision of the government. The survey results show that the factors that were important for the farm owners were ranked with the following order: “instruction services,” “leadership ability,” and “special characteristics and coordination ability.” The farms with higher performance though that “leadership style” is the most important component; the lower performance farms usually neglect the “pricing and customer recognition” and “value highly of tourism activities,” and they usually would think that the biggest challenge in management is “outside competition.” Strategies for enhancement the competitiveness the different performance level farms were suggested.
