台灣附近海域之海流發電

Ocean Current Power in the Region around Taiwan

摘要


台灣四面環海,所蘊藏之海流能量是一項不容忽視的可靠、自產、潔淨新能源。筆者在文中說明台灣附近海域之海流流速機率分布與發電潛能空間分布,並介紹目前國際上海流發電機的發展近況。根據觀測與模擬的海流資料,適用於台灣近海之海流發電機屬低額定流速的範疇,因此我國在發展海流發電上可採用包覆型的海流渦輪機組設計來提高發電效率,使其更具開發利用之經濟價值。

The ocean current in the sea around Taiwan is a reliable, self-generating, and clean source of energy that should not be overlooked. This article describes the probability distribution of current velocity and the potential spatial distribution of current energy in the region around Taiwan, while introducing recent international developments in ocean current generator technology. By using ocean current generators of low rated speed in accordance with observed and simulated ocean current data, we are in the process of developing ducted turbines that can be used for ocean current power generation in an effort to increase the efficiency of the generators as well as the economic value of their development and utilization.
