Purpose
The number of image data obtained by synchrotron radiation (SR) imaging has rapidly increased in recent years due to the improvement of X-ray imager’s performance. At SAGA Light Source (SAGA LS), the measurement time per sample is less than 10 minutes for micro-CT using quasi-monochromatic light; therefore, more than a few tens of CT measurements can be performed in a day. Under these circumstances, recording the sample name and its status, measurement conditions, and data file name by hand is inefficient and increases the risk...
Methods and materials
All conditions of SR imaging and imaging process are recorded in a single file (tag file) with text format with SAKAS. The tag file name is recommended to be the same file name of the raw image data + ‘tag.’ The format of the tag file is conformed to the Windows ‘ini’ file as follows

Results
We have developed a software family of SAKAS for micro-CT [1] and phase-contrast X-ray CT [2] at the SAGA LS and the Photon Factory in Japan. The family consists of the following software, and the image data was processed, as shown in Fig. 1.
The CTRL7:
control software for absorption- and phase-contrast X-ray CT to control the pulse motor controller (Tsuji denshi PM16C) for positional tables, the X-ray shutter, the pulse counter/timer (Tsuji denshi CT08 and CT64), and the X-ray imager (Andor Zyla 5.5 HF...
Conclusion
We are developing an image data carte system, "SAKAS," to manage all the conditions of micro- and phase-contrast CT using SR in an integrated manner. All information about the sample, measurements, and image processing conditions (metadata) are recorded in one text-formatted tag file for easy treatment and verification. In addition, batch processing can be performed by a pre-setting condition in the tag file. SAKAS software family is now available on the website of SAGA LS and GitHub.
