The aim of the study is to explore the role of social entrepreneurship in promoting economic development of underserved communities in Cape Town, South Africa.

The researcher made use of a semi-structured interviews through an interview guide (Appendix C) to collect primary data. Using this method allowed for a better understanding of participants’ views on the research topic. The interview guide assisted in planning the interview questions and as a tool to engage with participants during the research. 15 Participants were selected to take part
