초록

본 연구는 조절초점이 동기 수준을 예측 할 수 있는지 알아보기 위한 목적으로 수행되었다. 연구대상자는 한국의 씨름선수 187명이었으며, 조절초점을 측정하기 위하여 홍준희(2005)의 한국판 조절초점 척도를 활용하였다. 또한 선수들의 동기 수준을 측정하기 위하여 활용된 설문지는 Lonsdale 등(2008)의 자기결정성 이론에 근거하여 동기를 어떤 자극이나 반응에 대한 시계열적인 동기 수준을 평가하기 위하여 개발한 스포츠 행동 조절 척도(BRSQ： behavioral regulation in sport questionnaire)를 활용하였다. 조절초점을 판별하는 동기요인을 알아보기 위하여 인공신경망 분석(artificial neural network analysis)을 수행하였으며, 분석 옵션은 다중레이어 인식(multilayer perception)으로 결정하였다. 분석결과 씨름선수의 향상초점이 보다 내적인 동기를 예측하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 씨름선수의 예방초점은 외적인 동기를 예측하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 조절초점이 운동선수들의 동기 수준을 예측 할 수 있다는 정보를 제공하였으며, 향상화된 초점이 보다 내적인 동기와 관련이 있다는 사실을 확인하였다.
