초록

본 연구는 창업자들의 기업가정신, 산업 환경, 정부 정책에 기반을 둔 벤처기업의 기회 추구 프로세스를 살펴보기 위해 진행되었다. 본 연구는 이를 위해 S/W, H/W, 기타(유기농 야채) 분야에 종사하고 있는 대전/충남지역 소재 8개 벤처기업을 대상으로 사례연구를 진행하였다. 연구 결과 창업자의 기업가적 추동력과 기회 추구를 위한 방향성 확립은 벤처기업의 지속성장을 위해 필요한 기회 탐색, 기회 추구, 기회 실현 프로세스에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 또한, 개별 산업 환경이 미치는 영향과 정부 정책 역시 벤처기업의 기회 추구 메커니즘에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 확인되었다. 구체적으로 사례연구 결과, S/W 기업에 소속된 벤처기업의 경우 대기업과의 협력관계 구축과 제품의 빠른 출시가 기회 추구 프로세스와 기업 성장에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며 이를 위해 S/W 기업을 이끄는 창업자, 기업가들은 조직 민첩성을 토대로 시장 변화와 지식학습에 좀 더 초점을 두고 조직 역량을 강화하고 있었다. 반면, H/W 기업 및 유기농 야채 분야의 벤처기업들은 탄탄한 기술역량 확보와 함께 해당 분야의 수입 제품을 대체할 수 있는 역량을 축적하는 것이 기업의 지속적인 기회 추구와 성장에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 드러났다. 본 사례연구는 S/W, H/W, 기타(유기농 야채) 분야에 있는 각기 다른 기업들을 대상으로 심도 있는 사례연구를 진행, 벤처기업의 기회 추구 메커니즘을 좀 더 명확히 그리고 현실적인 측면을 고려하여 분석을 진행하였다. 이를 바탕으로 본 연구는 국내 벤처기업의 연구 및 성장에 필요한 이론적 기여도와 산업적 지혜, 후속 연구를 최종적으로 제안했다.
