본 연구는 경제뉴스 보도에서 텍스트 기사의 프레임(획득, 손실)과 보도사진의 프레임(획득, 손실)이 주 52시간 근무제라는 이슈에 대한 뉴스 이용자의 지각과 정부 신뢰에 어떤 영향을 미치는 지를 실험연구를 통해 살펴보고자 하였다. 건강 보도나 캠페인 메시지보다 복잡한 경제뉴스에서 두 가지 뉴스 구성 요소의 획득 프레임과 손실 프레임이 뉴스 이용자들의 이슈지각과 판단에 영향을 주는지 살펴보고자 하였다. 실험 설계는 2(텍스트 기사 프레임: 획득, 손실) × 2(보도사진 프레임: 획득, 손실) 집단 간 요인설계이었으며, 20대 100명이 온라인 뉴스 이용 환경에서 실험에 참여하였다. 실험 결과, 텍스트 기사의 프레임이 경제뉴스 보도에서 다루어진 이슈의 중요성과 실용성, 수용성에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 구체적으로, 텍스트 기사가 특정 경제 이슈의 긍정적인 면을 강조하는 획득 프레임을 사용하는 것보다 부정적인 면을 강조하는 손실 프레임을 사용하는 것이 뉴스 이용자의 이슈 지각 수준을 높이는 것으로 나타났다. 보도사진 프레임의 주효과, 텍스트 기사와 보도사진 프레임의 상호작용효과는 나타나지 않았다. 또 경제뉴스 보도의 텍스트 기사 프레임과 보도사진 프레임은 정부 신뢰에 유의미한 영향을 미치지 않았다.

This study sought to find out how the frame of text articles(gain, loss) and the frame of report photo(gain, loss) affect the perception of issues and government trust in economic news reports. To this end, the study conducted an experiment on 100 men and women in their 20s. The experimental design of this study was a factorial design between 2(text article frame: gain, loss) × 2(report photo frame: gain, loss) groups. The experimental treatment was a newspaper article that included two independent variables. Experimental participants were randomly assigned to one of four groups of experiments. The results of the experiment showed that in economic news reports, the factor that significantly affected the perception of issues by news users, such as the importance of issues, the practicality of issues, and the acceptability of issues, the frame of the text article, rather than report photo frame. Specifically, it has been observed that the text article’s emphasis on the negative side raises the level of awareness of the issue among news users.
