Identification of standard levels of cognitive-motor abilities among vocational school students

BACKGROUND: The problem of this research has been manifested at the stage of human development, based on which life is built for the future and through which the basic concepts are formed. One of these concepts is a safety of educational and teaching process, which requires a comprehensive study of the child physical, mental, dynamic, and emotional aspects. These aspects depend on each other. Cognitive-motor abilities are one of the most important aspects that specialists have sought to study and uncover. This research is aimed at investigation of the level of cognitive - motor abilities of the students at the age of 16 years in vocational schools in the center of the Babylon province; identification of the standard levels of cognitive - motor abilities among students at the age of 16 years from vocational schools in the center of Babylon province.
METHODS: During the study, the following methods have been used: the descriptive approach, comparative studies, and standardization. The research was conducted among students at the age of 16 years studying in vocational schools.
RESULTS: After the data collection, analysis, and discussion, we developed the system of the evaluation of cognitive-motor abilities according to the standard levels.
CONCLUSIONS: We recommend using the levels obtained in the general evaluation of students in order to identify their progress and development.
