본 연구는 어머니의 양육효능감이 유아의 사회적 유능감과 정서조절능력 미치는 영향에 미치는 영향력을 알아보고자 하였다. 본 연구를 위해 광주광역시에 소재한만 3, 4, 5세 유아 187명의 어머니와 해당 담임교사를 대상으로 양육효능감, 사회적 유능감, 정서조절능력에 관한 설문조사를 실시하였다. 자료는 SPSS 21.0 프로그램을 이용하여 Pearson의 상관분석 및 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과 첫째, 어머니의 양육효능감과 유아의 사회적 유능감은 전체적으로 유의미한 정적상관관계가 나타났으며, 어머니의 양육효능감은 유아의 사회적 유능감을 의미 있게 예측하는 변인으로 나타났다. 둘째, 어머니의 양육효능감과 유아의 정서조절능력은 전체적으로 유의미한 정적상관관계가 나타났으며, 어머니의 양육효능감은 유아의 정서조절능력을 의미 있게 예측하는 변인으로 나타났다. 이러한 결과는 어머니의 양육효능감이 유아의 사회적 유능감과 정서조절능력에 중요한 예측 변인임을 시사한다.

The present study aims to identify the relationship between parenting efficacy and young children`s social competence and emotion regulation. The subjects of the study were the mother and the teachers in charge of 189 children aged three, four, five years attending child care centers in `J` Metropolitan City. Tests of parenting efficacy, emotion regulation, and emotion regulation were administered to the subjects. The collected data was processed through Pearson`s correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis using SPSS 21.0 version. The study results showed a positive correlation between parenting efficacy and young children`s social competence and emotion regulation. Thus, it suggests that consistent parenting attitudes and parenting efficacy, that is to say parents` confidence in parenting, has a deep relationship with young children`s social competence and emotion regulation. Therefore, it is necessary for parents to acquire information and knowledge about parenting, through accessing a variety of information or education.
