본 연구는 대학생이 지각한 부모의 심리적 통제와 편집성향의 관계에서 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움과 내면화된 수치심의 이중 매개역할을 검증하였다. 대학생 373명이 응답한 설문자료를 분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 부모의 심리적 통제는 편집성향을 직접 정적으로 예측하였다. 둘째, 내면화된 수치심은 부모의 심리적 통제와 편집성향을 매개하였지만, 부정적 평가의 두려움은 매개하지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 내면화된 수치심과 부정적 평가의 두려움이 부모의 심리적 통제와 편집성향을 매개하는 순서와 관련해, 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움이 내면화된 수치심을 선행하는 순차적 매개만이 통계적으로 유의한 것으로 드러났다. 이러한 결과는 부모의 심리적 통제로 형성된 부정적 평가에 대한 두려움이 내면화된 수치심을 통해 편집성향을 예측함을 나타내는 것이다. 본 연구의 의의와 임상적 함의, 제한점 및 후속연구를 위한 제언이 구체적으로 논의되었다.

This study investigated a sequential order in which fear of negative evaluation and internalized shame mediate the relationship between parental psychological control and paranoia tendency. The results of the date analysis on a sample of 373 college students are as follows : Firstly, parental psychological control directly predicted paranoia tendency in a positive direction. Secondly, internalized shame mediated the relationship between parental psychological control and paranoia tendency, but fear of negative evaluation did not. Lastly, as for the sequential order in which internalized shame and fear of negative evaluation mediate the relationship between parental psychological control and paranoia tendency, the sequential order from fear of negative evaluation to internalize shame was statistically significant, but not vice versa. These findings suggest that fear of negative evaluation that arises from parental psychological control predicts paranoia tendency through internalized shame. Research and clinical implications, limitations, and future directions of this study were discussed in details.
