본 연구는 대학생의 정신화와 역기능적 분노표현방식이 우울에 미치는 영향에서 성인애착의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 본 연구를 통해 대학생의 우울을 감소시키기 위한 다양한 방안을 제시하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 G광역시에 소재한 대학교에 재학 중인 대학생 296명을 대상으로 BDI-Ⅱ, 분노표현검사, 정신화 척도, 애착척도를 사용하여 분석하였다. 자료 분석은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 정신화는 우울과 정적 상관을 보였고, 성인애착과는 정적상관을 보였다. 역기능적 분노표현 방식은 우울과 정적상관을 보였고, 성인애착과는 정적상관을 보여주었다. 둘째, 정신화가 우울에 미치는 영향에서 성인애착은 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 성인애착의 하위유형인 불안애착은 정신화와 우울의 관계에서 부분 매개효과가 있었다. 이는 빈약한 정신화는 불안애착에 영향을 주며 이는 우울감을 증가시키는 효과가 있는 것으로 시사된다. 셋째, 역기능적 분노표현방식이 우울에 미치는 영향에서 성인애착은 매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 역기능적 분노표현방식의 하위요인인 억제적 분노표현 방식이 우울에 미치는 영향에서 불안애착의 부분적 매개효과가 유의하였다. 즉 억제적 분노표현은 불안애착에 영향을 주며 이는 우울감을 높이는 결과가 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 대학생의 정신화 능력을 함양하거나 역기능적인 분노조절과 더불어 애착관계의 조정이 우울감 완화에 효과적임을 시사한다. 이같은 결과는 바탕으로 본 연구의 의의와 제한점에 대해 논의하였다.

The purpose of this study were to examine the mediation effects of adult attachment in the relationship between mentalization and depression and between dysfunctional anger expression attitude and depression. Based on this study, we want to suggest various solutions and methods to relieve college students depressive symptoms. The measures used to assess these effects with a sample of 296 college students, who lived in G-metropolitan city, included BDI-II, State-Trait Anger Expression Inventory, and Korean Version of Inventory of Experiences in Close Relationships Scale. The results are as follows. Firstly, after analyzing correlations between variables, mentalization were correlated with depression and adult attachment significantly positive. Dysfunctiona anger expression attitude were positively correlated with depression and adult attachment also. Secondly, based on regression analysis, the mediational effects of adult attachment in the relationship between mentalization and depression. Especially, anxious attachment that is adult attachment’s sub-factors, had significant partial mediational effect in relationship between mentalization and depression. The poor mentalization had influenced anxious attachment and increased depressive mood. Thirdly, the relationship between dysfunctional anger expression attitude and depression had significantly mediational effect in adult attachment. And anxious attachment that is adult attachment’s sub-factors, had partial mediational effect in relationship between suppressive anger expression that is anger expression attitude’s sub-factors, and depression. Thereby suppressive anger expression provided effect for anxious attachment and augment in depression. These results suggested that an intervention that systematically addressed depression may be effective for college students with mentalized based therapy and anger regulation therapy and attachment based therapy. Based on these findings, implications and limitations of this study were discussed.
