본 연구는 청소년이 지각한 부모의 심리적 통제와 청소년의 학습된 무기력간의 관계에서 자기효능감이 어떠한 요인으로 작용하는지를 규명하고자 이루어졌다. 이를 위하여 청소년이 지각한 부모의 심리적 통제가 자기효능감을 매개로 청소년의 학습된 무기력에 영향을 미치는지를 분석하였다. 이를 위해 총400명의 남녀공학 중·고등학교 학생들에게 부모의 심리적 통제척도, 자기효능감 척도, 학습된 무기력 척도로 구성된 설문지를 실시하였고, 이를 통해 수집된 343명의 자료에 대하여 상관분석과 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과 첫째, 부모의 심리적 통제와 자기효능감, 부모의 심리적 통제와 학습된 무기력, 자기효능감과 학습된 무기력간에 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 부모의 심리적 통제는 자기효능감을 부분매개로 학습된 무기력에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 청소년들이 부모의 심리적 통제가 높다고 지각하면 자기효능감이 낮아지고 이를 매개로 학습된 무기력이 나타날 수 있음을 시사한다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 본 연구의 시사점과 제한점 및 추후 연구를 위한 제언을 하였다.

The aim of this study is to identify the effects of parental psychological control as perceived by adolescents on their learned helplessness with self-efficacy as a mediator. . For this, in this study, the regression analysis suggested by Baron & Kenny (1986) was conducted on the data collected from 343 male and female middle and high school students living in Gyeonggi-do, using SPSS 18.0. The study produced the following results: first, the study found a positive correlation between parental psychological control and adolescents` learned helplessness, and a negative correlation between self-efficacy and learned helplessness. Second, parental psychological control had an impact on learned helplessness with self-efficacy as a partial mediator. It means that by giving psychological autonomy and adopting a reasonable attitude towards children, parents can help improve their adolescent children`s self-efficacy and ultimately prevent them from developing learned helplessness. In addition, the implications of the study on the basis of these results and the limitations and future research directions are discussed.
