The present study utilized text mining to explore the research trends of studies utilizing corpus in English education based on the titles of recently published papers in the related field. The keywords used for data collection were “English“ and “Corpus.“ A total of 542 papers were analyzed after screening the collected data. The results of the analysis showed that corpus analysis has been mainly conducted using textbooks, which are primarily used in high school, middle school, elementary school, and college as the subject of their data. Also, it was found that comparative analysis of vocabulary on school textbooks has been mainly conducted in these studies, and especially, many of which were on the frequency of main parts of speech, such as adjectives or difficulty of vocabulary. Furthermore, the main subject for corpus analysis in these studies was learner types by age with the range of their analysis being textbooks and assessment tests. In conclusion, through topic modeling analysis, a total of 5 topics were extracted: Topic 1 being the topics related to “vocabulary analysis through English corpus”; Topic 2, related to “corpus analysis on secondary English textbooks.” Topic 3, related to “corpus-based studies for comparative analysis of English vocabulary”; Topic 4, related to “English proficiency of Korean college students using corpus”; Topic 5, related to “English vocabulary research using corpus.”
