은퇴 후의 삶이 ‘제 2의 인생’이라고 할 정도로 인생에서 중요한 부분으로 부각되면서 어떻게 하면 은퇴 후의 행복한 삶을 설계할 것인가 하는 은퇴설계에 대한 관심 역시 높아지고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 은퇴자들을 대상으로 은퇴만족도(retirement satisfaction)는 어떠한지, 어떠한 요인들이 은퇴만족도에 영향을 미치는지 분석함으로써 행복한 은퇴생활을 준비하기 위한 유용한 정보를 제공하고자 하였다. 고령화패널데이터를 활용하여 총 2,027명의 은퇴자를 대상으로 은퇴전후 대비 만족도를 분석하였으며 전반적인 은퇴만족도에 대해 분석하였다. 연구결과, 은퇴만족도에는 인구통계학적 요인, 경제적요인, 건강요인, 주관적 만족도나 사회활동 및 일과 관련한 요인들이 고루 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났는데, 은퇴 전후 비교 만족도를 분석했을 경우는 주요한 영향요인이 서로 다르게 나타났다. 은퇴 전에 비해 은퇴 후에 더 불만족하는데 영향을 미치는 주요 요인은 일과 경제적 요인인 것으로 나타났고 은퇴 후 더 만족하는데 영향을 미치는 요인은 여가의 활용과 관련된 요인인 것으로 나타났다. 경제적 요인도 중요하지만 경제상태에 대한 주관적 만족과 사회활동 및 일과 관련한 요인들이 은퇴만족도에 중요한 영향을 미치는 요인으로 규명되었다.
As life expectancy increased the life after retirement has been longer and important. Increase in the importance of life after retirement has raised the great attention to the retirement planning to have a better life after retirement. The purpose of this study was to examine the factors related to retiree's retirement satisfaction to provide a useful information for pre-retirees to have a better life after retirement. Using 2,027 retirees in the Korean Longitudinal Study of Aging, the study analyzed the retirement satisfaction of the retirees both the overall retirement satisfaction and comparative retirement satisfaction before and after the retirement. The results of logit analyses showed that factors related to work and economic factors were significantly related to being unsatisfied after retirement compared to before retirement period. Enjoying some leisure time was the most important factors affecting being satisfied after retirement compared to before retirement period. The results of ordered logit analysis indicated that factors in the model including socio-demograpic factors, economic factors, perceived health, subjective satisfaction, and social activities and work were significantly related to the overall retirement satisfaction of the retirees. Most of the results of the socio-demograpic factors supported the results of previous studies. In terms of economic factors, the subjective satisfaction on their financial situation was more important than the absolute amount of net worth. Health and social activities/work were the important factors to determine retirement satisfaction.
