Abstract

CAICISS equipment, with which surface atomic structures can be quantitatively analyzed by taking an experimental scattering angle to be just 180°, has been developed. We have applied it to surface structural analysis of MoS2, which is easy to clean its surface by cleavage. We have found that surface of MoS2 must have some steps, in spite of cleaving single crystal.
