Abstract

CAICISS equipment, with which surface atomic structures can be quantitatively analyzed by taking an experimental scattering angle to be just 180°, has been developed. We have applied it to surface structural analysis of MoS₂, which is easy to clean its surface by cleavage. We have found that surface of MoS₂ must have some steps, in spite of cleaving single crystal.
