Abstract:
In any learning process, students' attitudes are crucial for the acquisition of content and corresponding competencies. It has been argued that the development of positive attitudes should be a desired outcome in the learning process of every subject.

However, in the case of Econometrics subjects, there is an absence of studies both on what are the students' attitudes towards this type of subject (the prevailing idea is that students mostly do not have a positive attitude) and on how to assess the development of (positive) attitudes throughout the learning process.

This paper aims to contribute to fill this gap, for this purpose, we use data from a survey conducted among students of Econometrics from the bachelor’s degree of Economics at the University of Oviedo, at the beginning of the course and at the end of it. The information retrieved from the survey allows us to obtain detailed information on the students’ view of the subject of Econometric and to propose improvements and teaching innovations consistent with results obtained.
