In oceanographic engineering, the concrete plate-expanded pile is a new type of energy-saving protective pile. Expanded plate parameters affect the bearing capacity of the horizontal load. In this study, the effect of the plate location, which is an important plate parameter, on the failure state of concrete plate-expanded piles was studied, mainly with the ANSYS finite element analysis software to simulate and analyze models with different plate locations under horizontal action and to determine the effect of plate location on the failure state, which provides a theoretical basis for further research on the design of lateral load-bearing capacity of concrete plate-expanded piles and promotes the development of the design technology of these types of piles.
