Abstract

This presentation reports back on insights into precarious employment from key informants (professionals working first hand with those who have experienced or are experiencing rural precarious employment). Topics covered include pervasiveness of rural precarious employment, impacts, mitigation strategies, and current supports that help rural people who are precariously employed manage their employment situation or escape it.
