본 연구의 목적은 탈북대학생 관련 연구 동향을 분석하고 분석 결과를 기반으로 향후 연구방향을 제안하는데 있다. 이를 위해 Scoping 문헌고찰 방법을 토대로 등재(후보) 학술지에 게재된 탈북대학생 관련 논문 58편을 선정하여 분석하였으며, 분석내용은 발표연도, 학술지 분야, 연구자, 연구방법, 연구주제를 중심으로 살펴보았다. 주요 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 탈북대학생 관련 연구는 2003년 처음 발표되었으나 지속적인 연구 수의 증대로 이어지지는 못하고, 2010년에 이르러서야 관련 연구물이 꾸준히 보고되기 시작하였다. 둘째, 탈북대학생 관련 연구를 발표한 학술지는 총 45개로, 다양한 학문 분야에서 탈북대학생 관련 연구에 관심을 가지고 연구하고 있는 것으로 확인되었으며, 특히 사회과학 분야 내 교육학, 심리과학 연구물이 다수를 차지했다. 셋째, 연구자 동향 분석 결과, 연구자 수는 1인 연구와 2인 연구 구성이 다수를 차지하였으며, 특히 주로 학계 소속 연구자들에 의해 관련 연구물이 발표되었다. 넷째, 연구방법은 질적 연구방법, 조사 연구방법, 혼합 연구방법, 문헌 연구방법, 개발 연구방법 순으로 사용되고 있었으며, 이 중 질적 연구방법으로 수행된 연구가 과반을 차지하였다. 다섯째, 탈북대학생 관련 연구 주제를 살펴본 결과, 주로 의식·문화·사회 영역과 교육·활동 영역에서 연구가 진행되었다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 향후 탈북대학생 관련 연구 방향을 제언하였다.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the research trends related to university students defected from North Korea and propose future research directions based on the analysis results. A total of 58 papers were selected as final subjects. The analysis was based on the year of publication, academic journal field, researcher, research method, and research topics. Major results of this study were as follows: First, the study was first published in 2003, but it did not lead to a continuous increase in the number of studies, and only began to be reported steadily in 2010. Second, they were announced in so many different areas such as published in 45 academic journals. Third, the number of researchers consisted of one-person and two-person studies, particularly those from academia. Fourth, over 84% of study methods is research study and qualitative research. Fifth, the research subjects were mainly researched in the fields of consciousness & culture & society and education & activities. Based on the analysis, the future research of university students defected from North Korea is suggested.
