Abstract: Depressive tendency is one of the major problems existing in patients with Multidrug Resistant Tuberculosis(MDR-TB) which would affect patients’ treatment compliance, quality of life, mental and economic well-beings. Severe depression can lead to extreme behaviors and even suicide. This paper reviews the related factors and intervention measures of depression tendency in MDR-TB patients, and puts forward the development direction and suggestions for alleviating the psychological burden and depression tendency of patients from perspectives of individuals, families, communities, hospitals and national governments.
