본 연구의 목적은 노인의 여가활동유형을 탐색하고, 나타난 유형에 대한 특성변인의 영향을 알아보는 것이다. 보건복지부와 한국보건사회연구원의 2014년도 노인실태조사 원자료를 활용하여 10,451명을 분석대상자로 선정하였다. 노인의 여가활동유형을 확인하기 위해 잠재계층분석을 실시하였으며, 도출된 각 여가활동 유형별 특성을 파악하기 위해 다항로지스틱회귀분석을 실시하였다.
분석결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 노인여가활동은 3개의 유형인 여행친목형, 교육복지관 이용형, 여가활동 빈약형으로 분류되었다. 둘째, 3가지 노인여가활동 유형은 인구사회학적, 건강 및 심리적, 가족 및 지역사회요인에 따라 유형 간의 차이를 보였다. 또한, 이러한 유형의 예측에서 성별, 연령, 교육수준, 경제상태, IADL, 우울정도, 인지기능, 배우자, 친구와 지역사회관계, 가구원수 등이 주요하게 작용하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 연구의 시사점 및 제안점 등을 제시하였다.

The purpose of this study is to explore the leisure activity types of the elderly, and to examine the effect of characteristics variable per sub-group that appeared in types. For this, The National Survey on Living Conditions of the Elderly, 2014 was used. This dataset contained total of 10,451 elderly sample selected from nationwide. Latent class analysis (LCA) was used for identifying types of leisure activity. Based on the Latent class analysis, multinomial logistic regression analysis were performed to find out characteristics and determinants in accordance with the extracted types of leisure activity. On the results, latent classes of leisure activity for the elderly were turned out as three types: travel friendship type, education welfare center use type, leisure activity poor type. These three types showed different characteristics in social demographic factors, health and psychological factors, and family and community factors. Moreover, characteristics such as gender, age, educational level, economic status, IADL, depression, cognitive function, spouse, friends and community relations, and household number were playing a key role in predicting the leisure activity types. Based on this study, the implication of this research and its limitation were suggested.
