Abstract

The objectives of this study are to investigate the influence of leadership style and organizational structure on employees’ performance and organization and the impact of leadership style, organizational structure, and motivation on an organization’s overall performance. A quantitative method was used in this study, involving all employees from the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh, Indonesia. A set of questionnaires was distributed to all 200 employees of the faculty, but only 115 employees completed and returned the questionnaire, reducing our sample size to 115. The data collected was analyzed using structural equation modeling (SEM). The results show that leadership style has an influence on the performance of staff members of the Teacher Training and Education Faculty at Syiah Kuala University. The organizational structure that affects the performance of the institution’s staff members is related to the management within the organization. Additionally, work motivation affects the performance of the staff members of the institution. It can be concluded that leadership style and organizational structure have a significant effect on employees’ work motivation in an organization.
