SCOPE

An examination of the smaller countries of the world and their relationship, past, present and future to the United Nations to include an explanation of the existing membership requirements and their application. To be covered is an investigation into the necessity for full U. N. member ship with the advantages and disadvantages thereof and possible alternatives thereto, and recommendations for modification and improvement to the present system of representation. As a vehicle for this study, several of the smaller countries and territories due independent status in the future will be utilized as examples, to show the possible impact upon the present structure of the United Nations.
