Description

Locality records from field surveys for reptiles and amphibians in Jiangsu for the following five species: Protobothrops mucrosquamatus (1 record), Hylarana latouchii (12), Odoranna tianmuii (17), Polypedates braueri (4), and Zhangixalus dennysi (6). Each species occurrence record has GPS coordinates (WGS 1984 datum) and most are linked to an associated iNaturalist observation which includes photographs and time of observation. These records were subsequently combined with existing occurrence data to produce Maxent environmental niche models for these five species. Surveys were conducted at night (~19:00-24:00 h) on 10, 14, and 25 September 2023 along roads and near bodies of water. Additional observations of nine other species of reptiles and amphibians from these surveys besides the five study species can be found on iNaturalist.org at https://www.inaturalist.org/observations?d1=2023-09-10&d2=2023-09-25&nelat=31.399147867801794&nelng=119.88565584156419&place_id=any&subview=map&swlat=30.983279761240798&swlng=119.41599031422044&iconic_taxa=Reptilia,Amphibia (or by searching observations of reptiles and amphibians on iNaturalist in southern Jiangsu from 10-25 September 2023).
