Summary of measurements

-Bathythermal exploration: 220 XBTs.
-Measurement of salinity and surface temperature underway.
-Seawater sampling (at each XBT launch) for the determination of DYNAMIC chlorophyll.
-Continuous measurement of the current profile in the 0-200 m layer using an acoustic Doppler current meter.
-Recovery of 8 deep current meter moorings out of 9 (Oct 84).
-Launching of 5 moorings along the Somali coast, 3 of which are deep, one at shallow depths with a pressure sensor and one with an acoustic Doppler current meter.
-Continuous surface current derived from navigation.
-GEOLOGY: Continuous bathymetry.
-METEOROLOGY: Observations.
