대한제국 황실표상으로서의 이화문(李花紋)이 지닌 융복합적 존재형식의 정체성 연구

본 연구는 구한말 격랑의 현장인 덕수궁 석조전과 운현궁 등 왕실 생활의 정수와 서양 문물 유입과정에서의 의·식·주등 사회생활 환경 전반에 나타나고 있으며, 자주독립국인 대한제국황실의 표상으로 쓰인 ‘오얏꽃 문양’이 지닌 융복합적 형이상·하학적인 존재로서의 정체성을 규명하는데 있다. 연구 내용과 목적은, 국가 상징과 황실문장으로서의 오얏꽃 문양이 지닌 형식미학의 집합조건과 필연성, 조형형상에 대한 체계구조의 준거를 확보하고 심층적으로 탐색하는데 있다. 아울러 연구방법은, 논의의 중심인 조형표상으로서 오얏꽃 문양이 지닌 내포적, 외연적 상징성, 표상에 대한 속성과 수단을 재해석하고 판별, 진단하기 위하여 62점의 실물을 중심으로 관찰조사와 함께 형성된 조사 방법 및 귀납적 접근방법에 의해 관련연구의 주체성과 존재증명을 확보하였다.
이를 통해 역사적, 민족적, 문화적 산물인 오얏꽃 문양에 담긴 민족의 혼과 상징적 표상이, 민족정신을 계승하고, 민족아(民族我)의 긍지를 갖는데 있어서 규범이 되는 전제적 가치의 본질을 재해석 하였다.
이 연구를 통하여 발견된 점은, 오얏꽃 문양이 지닌 형이상·하학적인 의미와 원인규명에 의해 미학적, 브랜드적 가치로 조선조말 역사적 환경의 패러다임 변화를 견인한 당위성 확보를 재정립 하였다.

This study is to determine the identity as fusion metaphysical and physical existence of ’plum flower emblem which appears in overall social environment and is essence of royal life with necessities of life when Western civilization was brought into the nation at Seokjojeon Hall of Deoksugung Palace, the scene of a turbulent time in the Late Period of Joseon and at Unhyeongung Palace as well and which was also used as symbol of Korean Empire’s royal family.
This study aims to establish standard of system architecture on set conditions, inevitability and formative form of aesthetics of form that plum flower artifacts has as a national symbol and royal coat of arms and to explore it in depth.
The study adopts a methodology formed along with observation study and inductive approach and secures identity and existence proof of related study with 62 actual objects to reinterpret, distinguish and diagnose connotative and denotive symbolization that plum flower artifacts has as a formative symbol and attributes and means regarding the symbol.
Through this, the study reinterprets the essence of autocratic values that national spirit and symbolic icon in plum flower artifacts, the historical, national and cultural fruit, serves as norms in that people inherit national spirit and feel proud of the nationality.
This study finds that justifiability which led paradigm change in historical environment in late Joseon is reestablished by metaphysical and physical meanings of plum flower artifacts and cause examination as aesthetical and brand value.
