Abstract: The course of Selected Topics on Medicinal Chemistry is the main course in curriculum provision of postgraduates majoring in medicinal chemistry and plays an important role in the cultivation of professional talents. In order to cater to the objective needs of postgraduate education development in China, improve the teaching quality of the course and cultivate the innovation and scientific research capabilities of graduate students, our teaching team conducted an exploration on the reform of the teaching pattern, teaching method as well as teaching means for this course by introducing the student-centered teaching ideas, carrying on the Seminar teaching pattern attempts and delivering topic academic lectures. We have obtained some preliminary results on the performance of teaching process and graduate students’ comprehensive learning and research innovation ability. The exploration of diversified teaching innovation in the course achieved the purpose of cultivating high-quality innovative pharmaceutical talents and provided ideas and inspiration for the associated teaching reform.
