Abstract: Based on the analysis of the current situation of teachers’ teaching and the effective characteristics of college teachers’ teaching development projects and the comparison with the common curriculum development models, the Teacher Teaching Development Center of Central South University has developed and launched the "double engine" grinding class. Focusing on the optimization of teaching design, the seminar established a "double engine" cooperation mechanism of the core power of the curriculum team and the auxiliary power of the education and development team to help improve teachers’ teaching design ability and teaching innovation ability, implement the education concept of "learning as the center", and provide new energy and new power for building a first-class teacher team, creating a firstclass curriculum, and promoting the quality and efficiency of undergraduate teaching.
