Abstract: Taking advantage of accessibility model and IDW of GIS, we measure the evolution of urban accessibility and its spatial pattern before and behind the openings of Harbin- Dalian high- speed rail. The results show that: before and behind openings of high-speed rail, the effect of compression of time and distance is remarkable. Urban accessibility has dramatically improved. The degree of accessibility improvement has obvious spatial differences. The accessibility improvement of intermediate line is larger, the beginning and end of line is smaller. The dynamic changes of urban accessibility accelerate the evolution of spatial pattern in Northeast China. Spatial differentiation and restruction become increasingly complex. The MSLUA will be seperated into Shenyang Economic Zone and Coastal Economic Belt. The central Jilin and Harbin metropolitan circle will restruct into Harbin- Changchun Economic Integration. The spatial polarization of population and economy in Harbin-Dalian high-speed rail shaft will further enhance. The spread of central cities has broken the traditional spatial scale and the category of administrative division. The subordination in part of cities becomes fuzzy.
