Abstract
This dataset is a NetCDF file containing the results of a 5 MA ice sheet model run with parameter settings intended to enhance marine ice sheet instability processes. Uses the Penn State ice sheet model as described in DeConto et al. (2021) and Pollard & DeConto (2012). The model runs from 5 Ma to present and snapshots are recorded every 2000 years. Model grid resolution is 40 km. Only the model geometry (thickness, height, whether grounded) is saved in each snapshot. The purpose of the model run was to support a study into whether or not it is possible to distinguish models with different marine ice sheet instability parameterizations using geologic data.
