이 논문은 시와 랩의 공통적인 부분을 추출하여 비교하고, 시 창작 교육에 있어서 랩의 활용 방안을 모색하고자 한다. 또한 랩의 작시에 있어서도 시의 활용에 대한 상호보완적 활용 방안에 대해 관심을 갖는다. 시는 과도한 진중함으로부터 자유로워질 필요가 있고, 랩은 언어를 선택하는 훈련에서 시의 오랜 경험의 축적이 도움이 될 것이기 때문이다. 시와 랩은 많은 차이점이 있다, 그런데도 한 자리에서 같이 논의할 수 있는 이유는 그것들의 공통점 또한 많기 때문이다. 언어를 기반으로 한 예술이라는 점, 화자(래퍼)와 운율(라임)등 방법적 측면에서 공통적 속성이 있다는 점이 그것이다. 이 논문에서는 화자(래퍼)와 운율(라임)을 비교 대상으로 삼았다. 시를 구성하는 요소로서 화자와 운율은 이미지와 더불어 가장 중요한 요소라고 할 수 있다. 랩에서도 래퍼(엠시)와 라임은 랩의 모든 것이라고 할 수 있다. 이 두 가지 요소는 시와 랩의 중요한 접점을 이루는 지점이라고 할 수 있다. 화자의 측면에서는 저항성과 진정성을 핵심어로 삼아 비교했으며, 운율의 측면에서는 각운을 핵심어로 삼아 살펴보았다. 궁극적으로 랩과 현대시의 비교를 통하여 처음 시를 창작해보는 학생들에게 시창작에 쉽게 다가갈 수 있는 방안을 모색해 보았다. 랩을 듣고 가사를 꼼꼼히 분석한다고 해서 처음 시를 창작하는 학생들이 금방 좋은 시를 쓸 수는 없을 것이다. 그러나 학생들에게 어렵게만 여겨지는 시와 시창작에 대해 상대적으로 친숙한 랩의 활용가능성을 엿볼 수 있었다. 이러한 랩과 시의 비교 연구는 현대시와 다양한 매체가 융합할 수 있는 하나의 계기가 될 것이다.

The purpose of this paper is to extract and compare common parts of poetry and rap, and to find ways to complement them. Especially, I am interested in finding ways to utilize rap in poetry creative education. Poetry needs to be free from excessive seriousness, and rap will help accumulate the long experience of poetry in language-choosing training. There are many differences between poetry and rap, but the reason why we can discuss it together in one place is because they have many things in common. This is because there are common attributes in terms of language-based art, such as speaker (rapper) and rhyme. The study compares the speaker (rapper) with the rhyme. As a component of the poem, the speaker and rhyme are the most important elements of the image. In rap, rappers(MC) and rhyme are all about rap, and these two elements are the point of important contact between poetry and rap. In terms of speaker, resistance and authenticity were compared as key words, and in terms of rhyme, rhyme was considered as the key word. Ultimately, through the comparison of rap and modern poetry, I sought ways to easily reach the creative work for students who created the first poem. Listening to rap and analyzing the lyrics carefully will not allow students who create the first poem to write good poetry in a moment. However, I was able to get a glimpse of the possibility of using relatively familiar rap about poetry and poetry that are considered difficult for students. This comparative study of rap and poetry will be an opportunity for modern poetry and various media to converge.
