Non-Linear Organic Dyes In Polyceram Hosts

Abstract

Non-linear organic dyes, such as 2-methy1–4-nitroaniline (MNA) and p-nitroaniline (pNA), have been incorporated in Polyceram monoliths and thick films prepared by the hydrolysis and co-condensation of tetraethoxysilane and trimethoxysilylpropyl substituted polyethyleneimine. Strong second harmonic generation was observed.
