Abstract
The experimental study of clustering in light nuclei has advanced significantly in the past decade, due in part to the advent of devices such as high-resolution segmented silicon detectors. We present the results of two measurements conducted with a combination of segmented silicon strip detectors and the high-resolution gamma-ray detector array GAMMASPHERE, a determination of spins of unbound states in 24Mg, and a measurement of particle—particle—gamma-ray angular correlations to study spin alignment and resonance behavior in the 12C(12C, 12C[0 +2 ])12C[2+] inelastic scattering reaction.
